30th of September, 2008

I have no idea what this is, only that it's on the way from my apartment to Seven Rivers of Leviathan (aka Sete Rios) from which I went to Caldas da Rainha again for a week of wild partying.

For your enjoyment: Greensleeves.

I thought I'd be better by now.

I mean it's been two weeks.

Marquês de Pombal, after which we went to see Cabaret. In Portuguese. But it was still cool.

No flashy picture today. I haven't done anything but theremin-practice for the past three days.

It's my theremin. I call him Thierry.

It's demotivating to not be able to play a pure note after five hours of messing around with it.

Bad picture, but that's what happens when you take pictures with your cellphone from inside a speeding bus. Crossing the bridge from Lisbon to Setubal, where my theremin was waiting.

Restauradores, where we went for a walk after seeing the awesome movie Reel Zombies at the final day of MOTELx. Had a lovely talk with the two very nice directors, and took the opportunity to shove a Zombie Walk Lisboa flyer in their hands.

MOTELx, the Lisbon horror film festival, at Cinema São Jorge, a lovely old-style cinema that has been put out of use except for film festivals since the uprising of multinational cinemas in every shopping mall.

I might go again. Also I am wet. Because apparently, sometimes it rains here too.

After about two hours of looking for this place (starting out from Baixa all the way to Entrecampos, telling a newspaper salesman "Procuro Campo Grande." while standing right next to the street sign saying "Campo Grande", because that's how stupid I am) I found it, took a ticket, and spent 20 minutes with a lady who does not at all seem to like her job and a very uncooperative printer. But there you have it. I am now officially licensed to stay in Portugal until the 10th of October, 2011.
